VISION
To create a positive youth culture, an environment where kids love to play
the game of baseball and have experiences that they can carry with them for
a lifetime.
MISSION
To improve the level of competency and competition of young baseball student/athletes
and of high school baseball teams in Southern Arizona.
POLICIES
All participants, coaches, players, and parents will first
and foremost honor and respect the game of baseball. Each of us will uphold
the spirit as well as the letter of baseball's rules.
Once a player starts with BABA, they may stay in our program for as long as
they continue to play baseball and for as long as he and his parents are consistent
with our philosophy.
The responsibility of BABA is development of the young player – physical,
mental, social, and emotional. Each participant, player, parent, or coach
will remember this responsibility at all times.
Every family is a valuable member of the Academy. Our players are proud to
have their families and friends watch them play. Our families are proud of
their son's dedication to personal improvement.
Our resources will be directed toward all players, no matter their skill level.
Our focus will be on effort toward competency for each player.
Maintaining a positive culture where positive character traits are developed
is primary, even if it might result in losing a game.
Mistakes and failure are an inevitable part of baseball and provide quality
teaching and learning opportunities. We will teach players that how positively
one reacts to mistakes and failures is an important part of success, not only
in baseball, but in life as well.
